Shaohannah's Hope
www.shaohannahshope.com
1-800-784-5361
Dedicated to caring for orphans by engaging the church and helping Christian families reduce the financial burden of adoption. We accomplish this by awarding financial adoption grants to qualified families already in the process of adopting. The size of the grant awarded is determined by several factors, the most important being need. With a commitment in faith by the family, Shaohannah's Hope will provide up to $7000 toward the cost of adopting, thereby reducing the financial barriers and allowing more families to experience the miracle of adoption. Don't let finances keep you from adopting a child. To receive an application packet, send your contact information to us via e-mail to
grant@shaohannahshope.com or call us toll free at 1-800-784-5361. Serious inquiries only please!

Tax Deductions or Credits
Contact your tax person or IRS for more information about Federal Tax Benefits for adoption (up $10,000), State Tax Credit and of course, Dependency Exemption. Adoptive parents are eligible for federal and state dependency tax exemption for their adopted children.
What is the adoption tax credit? Effective Jan 1, 2002 the IRS allows for a tax credit (a credit is a reduction of actual taxes owed) of up to $10,000 of adoption expenses. If your adoption expenses are more than your taxes due for the year, the law allows for the credit to be applied to tax liability for up to 6 years or a maximum of $10,000 which ever comes first. This means that if you have income less than 150,000 per year and pay taxes, the government will reimburse you up to $10,000 for finalized adoptions expenses.
